Movement Building
Contributing to the growing stewardship movement.
We actively support the growing movement towards landscape-scale approaches as essential conservation and stewardship tools.
We are a part of a growing body of networks, alliances, and collaboratives that are connecting people to care for the places we love and depend upon, and that support thriving, compassionate, and resilient communities.

However, just as a tree in a forest survives as a part of a connected ecosystem, human interconnectedness is necessary to meet the scale and scope of today’s challenges. Therefore, we are deeply committed to building this movement beyond typical communities of practice, so it is more inclusive, culturally relevant, and enduring.
Within our work we:
- Recognize that landscapes not only include different habitats, but also different communities, sectors, and values.
- Strive for continued learning and engagement with those historically marginalized from land conservation.
- Advocate for welcoming and inclusive spaces, as well as collaborative processes that will continue to strengthen our equity and justice community of practice.

Through the richness that a broader range of perspectives brings, we can co-create a more holistic approach and a more representative network. From the community garden to the ranch, from city greenspace to traditional homelands, we welcome everyone to join us in reimagining our future.
