Stewardship Soiree & Expo
CLSN@10 Conference Day 1: October 20th, 2026 - 5:00pm - 6:30pm
On the evening of October 20th we will host the Stewardship Soirée, a multi-faceted networking, information-sharing, and storytelling event meant to connect attendees around the power of collaborative stewardship. Different activities and events will take place during the Soiree:
1. Tabling & Expo: the main space where groups can sponsor a table and share more about their collaborative programs, projects, and resources. Submitted visual works of art will also be featured in this space.
2. Open Mic Room: a hosted space, featuring the MC talent of Esteban Ghast, where contributors will be able to take the stage and share their story in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. Story prompts include:
- Epic fail: When did you experience failure at work, and what essential lesson(s) did that failure teach you?
- Stewardship meets art: Share a poem or brief essay (written by you or by someone else) that inspires you and deepens our understanding and appreciation of the world around us.
- The power of mentorship: Tell the story about someone in your life who helped you see the importance of stewardship.
- Unlikely bedfellows: Have you met someone in this work that, despite significant differences or divides, became a valued partner – or even friend?
3. Sip & Draw Space: a space dedicated to sitting down and creating your version of a California landscape, modeled from a provided piece of art. Bring a drink from the bar to loosen your pen! Don't want a drink to distract you from making the art piece of your life? Come anyway and indulge in an artistic moment meant to bring us together.
4. Screening Room: a smaller, more intimate space where we will run video content from CLSN’s Stories of Stewardship project and other video-format stewardship highlights. This room will also feature a station where attendees can engage and suggest more content to add to the project.
The Soiree will be open to all CLSN@10 attendees. However, if you would like to table, participate in the Open Mic, or submit video content, please fill out our Call for Content Form. We will be in touch with next steps if you do!
