2020 Summer Series

The California Landscape Stewardship Network is developing a summer series of virtual gatherings connection, exchange, and learning among our Network. We hope these opportunities can help us connect with colleagues around timely topics, as well as inspire us while we advance the work we need to do together. Summer Series Kickoff: Connection through Observation: a Workshop with John Muir Laws: June 29, 2020, 12:30-2:00 pm

During this virtual summer series kickoff event, engage your powers of observation and reflection with naturalist and artist John Muir Laws. Plus hear about Network updates and how they’ll shape the series. This event will be a reflective introduction to the Network if you are new to our work, and will also be a great way for current participants to connect with colleagues and friends in the Network.

Please bring: an object from the land where you work or live (a pine cone, a bone, a bit of bee’s nest, etc.) a piece of paper, and a pencil.

Collaborative Leadership Virtual Workshop: July 9, 2020, 12:30-4:00 pm

This event is the first in a developing series of workshops and trainings focused on building and advancing practitioners’ collaborative leadership skills. It will focus on raising awareness around the features of collaborative leadership, including frameworks for working across jurisdictions and sectors, the role of networks, and the importance of interpersonal and technical skills in achieving effective collaboration.

This event is appropriate for stewardship practitioners who would benefit from learning from this new collaborative leadership framework, whether you are new to working collaboratively across boundaries or already practice this in your work.
